I want to start off by saying that I have always been a big fan of the RX-78 design. It is actually one of my favorites. I have built two other RX-78-2 master grade kits, but they were used to created other mobile suits (the FA-78-1 Full Armor Gundam and the RX-78-1 Prototype Gundam). So with Bandai's lastest RX-78-2 kit, the "One Year War" version, I wanted to pay homage to the original Gundam by building the kit "out of box" as the RX-78-2 design. And I must say, this is by far the BEST master grade kit that I have built. There were virtually no seams, and the kit's posablity is second to none.

I made no modifications to this kit because none were needed, and the kit was painted with the RX-78-2 stock colors. For the decals, I used Bandai's Master Grade RX-78-2 OYW ver. decals, which, by the way, went on very nicely. I would definitely recommend buying any of Bandai's Master Grade decals; they look 10 times better than the stickers that come with the Master Grade kits.

With that being said, here is my "Ode to Gundam!!"
